Philosophy

EikoSim is committed to developing and providing its customers with the use of imaging techniques, in order for them to gain a better understanding of their mechanical tests, and to facilitate the validation stage of their numerical simulations.

Through its expertise and close links to the research laboratory LMPS (ENS Paris-Saclay), EikoSim helps engineers to promote mechanical tests by providing innovative software solutions in order to integrate test data in the numerical design chain.

EikoSim in brief

What is EikoSim?

EikoSim is a French software company founded in 2016 and based in Montrouge, near Paris. It develops Digital Image Correlation (DIC) software to exploit mechanical tests and validate finite element simulations. It was co-founded by Florent Mathieu (CEO) and Renaud Gras (CTO).

What does the EikoTwin product line do?

EikoTwin is EikoSim’s software suite. EikoTwin DIC performs finite-element-based image correlation to automatically compare tests and simulations; EikoTwin Virtual specifies and prepares tests (virtual testing); EikoTwin Digital Twin identifies material parameters and calibrates models; EikoTwin Lite processes measurements for gauge-type applications.

How does EikoTwin integrate with simulation software?

EikoTwin DIC is compatible with the main finite element solvers: Abaqus (.odb), Ansys, Altair HyperWorks, PERMAS (INTES) and MSC Nastran. It is also available through the Altair Partner Alliance.

What is Digital Image Correlation (DIC) used for?

DIC measures full-field displacements and strains on a part’s surface from images, without contact. EikoSim uses it to compare these measurements directly with simulation results, quantify model-test discrepancies, characterize materials, and track crack propagation.
